Camping

We went to Bear Lake Canyon in May. This was Cy's second time camping. (The first time he was almost a year) We went with my sister and her family and a couple of her friends and their husbands. The weather was perfect.

Before the trip, we bought lil Carlos his first rifle. The guys really enjoyed shooting their guns.

Carlos finally got me to shoot his gun. I was scared I was going to shoot myself so I made him stand behind me and hold my arms to just make sure somethinf crazy didn't happen. I only shot twice but that was enough for me.

Cy wasn't to happy about the loud noise. I should of got an after picture it would of been of Cy crying.

The second time the guys went shooting Cy decided to stay at the campsite and play with his toys.

My Bro-inlaw and Carlos went fishing.

Me and the boys sat around watching them. I tried fishing for a little bit but I caught no fishies. My Bro-inlaw caught a couple.

My sister and her friends went hiking around the whole entire lake it took them about 2 1/2 hours. I stayed behind with the boys. There is no way I would of made it. On their hike they actually saw snow!

We had a good time... it's always nice to just get away... but for me by Sunday I was excited to get home to my wonderful shower and flushing toilet and my nice comfy bed.

First Swim of 09

A few weeks back Carlos and my nephew Justin had spring break.





The boys decided to take a dip in the pool....

Carlos convinced Justin that he wanted to go swimming too....

No I didn't go swimming, I'm not crazy the water was freezing! They only lasted 15 minutes.

But they had fun for those 15 minutes...

Pioneer Village

Last week, Carlos had a fieldtrip. We went to Pioneer Arizona Living Museum. You can't go into the homes/buildings but you can look through the doorways and windows and learn about how people lived in the old days. The kids loved the gun show! It's not a reenactment of anything it was just a fun/silly gun fight. They also did a gun safety awareness for the kids and showed them that all guns were dangerous. They use blanks and they showed us using a soda can how even a blank can do damage.

Overall it was a nice Fieldtrip...

A Month of Sickness...

Our home is finally getting back to normal. It started off with Cy being sick. Than the following week big Carlos got his tooth pulled. Last week lil Carlos got sick with the flu. This month I have been a nurse and a maid working around the clock! I think we are getting back to our normal routines now. Lil Carlos still has a nasty cough and gets tired quick but besides that he feels way better.

Lil Carlos has been chosen along with two other fifth graders to represent Union Elemetary District in a Math Challenge. They are competing with other fifth/sixth graders in other Westside Districts in May. The only thing that I am dissapointed about is that no parents are allowed due to how many schools they are having there is a lack of seating for any parents. So I'll just have to hear how it went from him. Maybe it's a good thing so that I won't make him nervous by snapping pictures and cheering and yelling his name and saying "That's my son!" :)
I am so excited for him. He is such a smart kid.

I Love my Valentine gift from Carlos. He got me an iPod touch... It's Great! I can listen to music, browse the web, read my emails, play games and more ... Lil Carlos got me the CD Plain White T's that I have been wanting with his own money...
