A Much Needed Update...

I've been slacking in the blog department, so let me back track a little on what's been going on with the Dominguez's.

In September and some of October I was babysitting a 14month old little boy and p/u his siblings from school everyday. So that explains me not having much time to blog during that time. Cy really enjoyed having a baby in the house. He was so sad when I told him that the baby wouldn't come back.

Also during that time my allergies went berzerk and I got a really bad facial rash. The rash started on my neck and spreaded to my face. It was really itchy and when I was in the sun or just got hot it would itch really bad. I went to the doctor, who didn't know what is was and I went to the dermatologist who again didn't know what caused it. I had blood work done to make sure it wasn't lupus. I did a biopsy and it just stated that it was a allergic reaction of something I came into contact with. So I really have no idea what caused the rash but I am pretty sure it was just one of my allergy attacks that I get that just went crazy. Soooo I was pretty depressed that month and didn't go anywhere because I was just so embarrased about my face. The bumps went away but they did scar so I am still upset about it but I can't stay hidden forever when you have kids.

October 25th was our Ward's Halloween Activity. The kids had a great time there. The boys dressed up as Star War characters. Carlos was a Jedi Knight and Cy was yoda. They played games and ran around with their friends. They had a tent set up (A Haunted House) but Cy wasn't up to going in. Maybe next time.

The next day was the CSPM and it was Cy's first time going up. I was a little hesitant about it. I was scared that he would yell and scream and I would have to go grab him and take him out of the building. But it didn't end up that way at all. Cy went up and sat for the most part in his assigned seat with an occasional waving of the hand and saying hi to me and carlos and blowing us kisses a dozen times. :) but besides that he was great up there. I was really proud of him. He finally has the whole primary thing down. I think it has to do with that I am no longer there. (I'm not sure if I have mentioned it before but I no longer work in primary I am a teacher with Carlos in Nursery. I miss primary! Carlos is great with the kids!) I walk him to his class and no fits or fights about it anymore. He even made friends with some of the other kids.

October 27th was my birthday. It was a good day. Cy let me watch t.v all day which is a big deal for him because that meant he missed all HIS shows even though our boys both have tv's in their rooms. Cy even vaccumed for me. The guys took me out to dinner and I got to pick out my gift. I choose the Guitar Hero. In our house we like to play games together as a family and so many people have said how fun Guitar Hero is so I caved in and jumped on the band wagon. It is really fun you can battle each other, or do a single or band career. We have only had it for a week and I'm still on easy Carlos is on medium already. I guess I'm not that coordinated. We also had a cookie cake that night.

On Friday we decided to crash Tolleson's Halloween Activity. I thought it would be funner for the boys than to walk around our neighborhood passing all the dark empty forclosed homes. We got to see a lot of our good friends that we miss. Sorry for not being able to chat longer Cy kept wanting to redo all the games. The boys got to trunk or treat twice this year. Carlos used his Jedi Force and got extra candy out of Randy. He really enjoyed seeing his friends again. Cy tried to be brave and go in the little trailer (haunted house) but ran off crying again.

That pretty much sums it up. I will hopefully stay on track...

It was so good to see you at the trunk or treat. We really do miss you.
You know Chelsea broke out in a bad rash all over when she was seven. We went to a dermatologist and they did a biopsy. They determined that she had a virus and her body had an allergic reaction to it. They said she wouldn't react the same way to this same virus because her body had built up immunity to it, but that it could happen again with another virus. It hasn't happened since, but did leave her with some scars on her legs. It took a few years, but they faded away. Your situation sounded very similiar. I didn't see any scars or anything on you. You look great!!!!!

Somehow we missed seeing you guys at our Trunk or Treat. The RS was in charge of the cake walk so that is where I was hanging out and I do remember seeing Yoda there... just didn't recognize who's son he was!

Sounds like you had a nice Bday! Happy belated!
