Carlos’ Perfect Day…

When I pick Carlos up from school I always ask "How was your day?" So Friday when I asked, he said: "It was perfect!" (I've never heard that one before) I said, Wow what made it so perfect? And he said that he got chosen to be Junior Librarian!

There was a thick stack of papers from all the kids who entered and Carlos and a few other kids were chosen. Next week, last years junior librarians will be training the new kids. Some of Carlos' duties are: Put books away, sharpen pencils, refill paper in printers, help set up for the book fair, help run the schools store and anything else the Librarian asks of them. This takes place sometimes before/after school, during recess or during class. I'm pretty excited for him. He's a good kid already but I think he will really understand what its like to have responsibilities away from home.

Junior Librarian - congratulations! I think you're right about it being a great chance for him to practice responsibility away from home. What a confidence builder!
